I own two pairs that I've used over the course of about 4 years. Great pants for outdoor activities, both work and play. Very comfortable, haven't faded or ripped after dozens if not hundreds of washes. Lots of pockets for equipment, essentials and any cool bugs or rocks I find. Relaxed fit makes them roomy and allows a wide range of movements. Will definitely purchase more pairs once my two finally wear out.

These are great pants. This is probably the best return on investment of ANYTHING I've ever bought.
For 10+ years I worked in vineyards and wineries. It's a hard outdoor job and I'd wear through a pair of jeans every six months. In 2014 I moved from the suburbs to a hilly, wooded rural property. Those jeans that held up for months were now ripping and getting holes every few weeks!
I needed something better and found these jeans in a catalog. I figured, what the heck they were worth a try. I've never seen a picture of a paratrooper with holes in their pants and a company selling to forestry people probably was selling something that would last more than a few weeks.
In 2016 I bought two new pairs of these pants. Why? Had the originals worn out? No, I was so happy with them I wanted back ups just in case they stopped being made. They are comfortable and indestructible.
My only modification has been to reenforce the waist button with more thread. Best pants ever.

These are great durable pants for the field. Only downside is there are not female cut options. Small still very big.

I'm a bit of a skinny guy, so the pants are a little baggy. But that's alright, the relaxed fit enables a wide range of movement. They are very comfortable and seem to be durable. Only time will tell. The bevvy of pockets is very nice, perfect for hamsters and rats to take a nap in. They look and feel great, from the sidewalk, to trail, to field site. They look good with tennis shoes as well as boots.

These pants are wonderful for working people. I work as a Federal field archaeologist. Everything must be compact and efficient working in the field. That means hiking miles, surveying each day in hot temperatures in wild environments. Weight and quality of clothing is a prime consideration. The pants have plenty of pockets to stash scales and notebooks-food bars. Less digging around in field packs. The storage pockets are great, but even better was the quality of material, construction, and most important-the reinforced inseam in the crotch. Too many cargo pants companies claim theirs work in the field, but they are best for fancy picnics in city parks or coffee shops. Try hiking through 4-foot high sage brush and crawling under juniper trees, sliding down steep sandy gulches, and getting up and down off muddy ground and see how long other so-called cargo pants last. Forestry Suppliers provided a working pant that will last, are comfortable, and at the end of the day, haven't busted seams or tears. I also bought the field book rain cover. My field books were getting ruined. This is not just rain protection, but protection against sand and dirt, bugs, spilled coffee and conveniently holds pencils and scales.

I recently ordered a pair of these pants, they are comfortable and appear to be as advertised. I'm wearing them now in fact. My comment has to do with the sizing. I wear a 33 inch waist, and I ordered the medium 31-35 inch waist size. With the both adjustable waist straps fully let out, as the pants are delivered, these pants fit. I can't really see the medium working for a 34 or 35 inch waist.

What is the in seam length for the medium and large size?
All pants have an inseam of 32 1/2".
Are the cargo pockets velcro or buttons?
The pockets have a button closure.
